DIY For Teachers
One way to build community in your class is to create personalized books with pictures of your children, their families or even favorite activities you’ve done together as a group.
Make a book of faces and names and watch your children “read” the book on their own. This is a fun way to help with letter recognition, an important component of early literacy.
In this video, I demonstrate how to make a DIY book that’s even good for toddlers because it’s laminated and can be easily cleaned. The book I made in this one is still in good shape, even after a year of being chewed on by my granddaughter, Emmy!
These Play School videos are created for parents so would be a great resource to share in your school newsletter. 👍🏼
