Are Your Kids Easily Frustrated?

These are characteristics we want children to develop so they’ll be able to manage the challenges of life. Seems kinda crazy but guess what, there are things you can do today to help children when they’re in third grade trying to figure out long division and playground politics.

But how do you do that? One thing is to encourage children to try different ways to solve a problem. It comes naturally for them, so you really don’t have to do much except provide the right activities and opportunities.

Enter puzzles. A simple way to learn how to try different ways to solve a problem. A simple way to encourage persistence and patience. And a simple way to experience the satisfaction of a job well done.

In this video, I demonstrate and talk about what puzzles you should give at different ages in the first 4 years – explaining what children learn and how you can help (and NOT help!) them solve problems on their own.
