Great classroom management benefits everybody – children, teachers, parents, and schools!
When teachers provide appropriate structures to support growth and learning, children blossom as they learn, grow emotionally and begin to function as a classroom community. This course will teach you how to engage children by first examining your own style of interaction and then providing information about child development and classroom strategies.
Handouts help you put into practice what you’ll learn – including a Listening Sheet, self-reflections, video notes, how to praise children effectively, how to set limits and transitions that teach as you move through out the day.
This course meets required pre-service training for new child care employees and must be taken before working with children. It also meets required annual training requirements for teachers and directors.
