Children develop and grow at different rates, but there are benchmarks that most achieve at certain ages. In this course, we will look closely at developmental milestones and ways to ensure every child reaches their full potential. We include classroom activities that you can do to support every area of development. You’ll also be given guidelines for identifying development delays and what to do when you see a child who is not reaching milestones for their age. Classroom scenario videos, insight from experts and review questions throughout will insure you understand what you’re learning. Print the Listening Sheet before you begin to take notes. There are lots of helpful handouts included as well!
This course meets required pre-service training for new child care employees and must be taken before working with children. It also meets required annual training requirements for teachers and directors.
