Research shows that children begin to notice differences from a very early age.
It also shows that societal stereotyping and bias influence children’s self-concept and attitudes toward others. In this course we define anti-bias education, explain why it’s important and how to best approach the topic in your class. Based on NAEYC’s Code of Ethics, we guide you in creating an environment that supports all children and families. A Listening Sheet for taking notes, articles, teacher resources, suggested books for your class library and lesson plans for every age group from three-year-olds through second grade are provided.
